2016 CHINA YIWU INTERNATIONAL FOREST PRODUCTS FAIR CLOSES WITH RECORD-HIGH TRANSACTION VOLUME

YIWU, China, Dec 9 (Bernama-BUSINESS WIRE) -- The 9th Yiwu International Forest Products Fair closed on November 4, 2016 at Yiwu International Expo Center in Eastern China’s Zhejiang Province, reaching deals worth RMB 4.78 billion or $700 million within 4 days, a 1.29% increase compared to last year. The domestic transaction volume reached RMB 3.56 billion ($521.26 million), accounting for 74.39% of the total, while the international transaction volume reached RMB 1.22 billion ($179.47 million), accounting for 25.61%. In every hour of the 30 exhibition hours, deals worth RMB 150 million ($22 million) were reached.

Themed “Share Green Practices”, the Fair attracted a record of 1,595 exhibitors from 45 countries to show their products. The 85,000-square-meter exhibition area in 10 exhibition halls accommodated a total of 3,736 standard booths, which was also a new record compared to the previous years.
