KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 14 (Bernama) -- Mary Kay Inc. -- a global beauty brand -- and The Museum at FIT (MFIT) hosted a scholarly panel discussion to discuss the impact and importance of pink in cosmetics recently.

The panelists include Mary Kay Global Beauty Ambassador Luis Casco and celebrity makeup artist, Vice President of Communications and Creative Direction at Givaudan Kate Greene and FIT adjunct professor and founder of The Young Group Karen Young.

The panel discussion was moderated by Chief Marketing Officer of Mary Kay Inc Sheryl Adkins-Green, a statement said.

The ‘Powerful Pink: From Cute to Confident’ discussion at the Katie Murphy Amphitheatre on the New York City FIT campus is in conjunction with MFIT’s special exhibition, ‘Pink: The History of a Punk, Pretty, Powerful Color,’ open to the public on Jan 5, 2019.

The exhibition features clothing dating from the 18th century to the present that spans the pink color spectrum and includes designer brands such as Christian Dior and Gucci. It will be exposed in the only museum in New York City dedicated solely to the art of fashion.

Previously, in celebration of Mary Kay's 55th anniversary, it has partnered with the fashion museum to unveil the special exhibition and honor the complex, multifaceted color while exploring its changing significance throughout history.

Mary Kay has inspired women to achieve their entrepreneurial goals for 55 years in nearly 40 countries. As a multibillion-dollar company, it offers the latest in cutting-edge skin care, bold color cosmetics and fragrances. More details on https://www.marykay.com.
