KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 (Bernama) -- Student creativity stamped its mark with a flourish at the 13th GATSBY Creative Awards in Shibuya, Tokyo recently.

At the event, creative students from South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan and Cambodia shone in the respective categories, bagging prestigious awards.

Hosted by Mandom Corporation, the GATSBY Creative Awards is one of Asia’s largest creative student artiste award ceremonies.

There were 1,707 works submitted by students from 12 countries and regions throughout Asia and this event brought together the finalists in five divisions - commercials, art, dance, music and photography.

The winners for each category are: South Korean, Song Seungyeon (Commercials); Japanese, Hodojima Momona (Art); Indonesian pair of Annabelle Feodorasenjaya and Qori Eka Fitriandini (Dance); Taiwanese, Lin Yi-Chia (Music); and, Cambodian, Lao Suneng (Photography).

As these creative artistes came together to share ideas with one another and further mutual exchanges, guest judges for each of the sponsored divisions selected the top creative student artistes.

The GATSBY Creative Awards was founded in 2006 by GATSBY, a brand of men’s cosmetic products that expanded sales in Asia, as an opportunity for young creative artistes to be more active and share their work.
